Description

A delightful dish combining tender chicken, aromatic garlic, and zesty lemon in a creamy sauce, served over bowtie pasta.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into strips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 8 oz bowtie pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until just tender. Drain and set aside, reserving a bit of pasta water.
  2. Season the chicken strips with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, add chicken, and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, then stir in lemon zest and juice.
  5. Add a tablespoon of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the chicken.
  6. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter, pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, and simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese until fully melted, then season with salt and pepper.
  8. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water if needed.
  9. Fold in lemon garlic chicken and stir to combine.
  10. Serve warm, garnished with parsley and extra Parmesan.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the chicken in lemon juice and seasonings for 30 minutes before cooking. Use fresh Parmesan cheese for the best texture.
