Description
A delicious and quick dish that combines tender beef with fresh bok choy, seasoned with savory sauces, ginger, and garlic.
Ingredients
- 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cups baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the bok choy and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it wilts but remains crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, combine everything well, and cook for an additional minute.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
For extra flavor, you can marinate the beef longer. To customize, add other vegetables such as bell peppers or carrots.
