Description

A delicious and quick dish that combines tender beef with fresh bok choy, seasoned with savory sauces, ginger, and garlic.

Ingredients

  • 300g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 cups baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the marinated beef to the skillet and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the bok choy and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until it wilts but remains crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the skillet, combine everything well, and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can marinate the beef longer. To customize, add other vegetables such as bell peppers or carrots.
