Description

Hearty jumbo pasta shells filled with flavorful ground beef and creamy cheese, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
  4. In a bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture.
  6. Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish, and place the stuffed shells on top.
  7. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with fresh basil or parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
