Description
Hearty jumbo pasta shells filled with flavorful ground beef and creamy cheese, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 12 jumbo pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked ground beef, ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff each cooked pasta shell with the beef and ricotta mixture.
- Spread half of the marinara sauce in a baking dish, and place the stuffed shells on top.
- Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the shells, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with fresh basil or parsley. Pairs well with a side salad or garlic bread.
