A hearty and comforting dish that combines ground beef, pasta, and a tasty sauce, making it a family-friendly meal that is easy to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onions are soft.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the pot.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with juice, beef broth, soy sauce, paprika, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a boil.
  5. Once boiling, stir in the uncooked elbow macaroni, ensuring it’s submerged in the liquid.
  6. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. If using cheese, remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar until melted and well mixed.
  9. Serve warm straight from the pot or ladle into bowls.

Notes
