Description
A delicious and fun dish featuring crispy shrimp, creamy sauce, and fluffy rice, perfect for a quick weekday dinner or a fun weekend meal.
Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup corn starch
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
- 1 tsp sriracha (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups cooked rice
- Chopped green onions for garnish
- Lettuce or cabbage for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and sriracha (if using) to make the bang bang sauce. Set aside.
- Dredge the shrimp in corn starch, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the shrimp until golden brown and cooked through, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the shrimp from the skillet and toss with the bang bang sauce.
- To assemble the bowl, place cooked rice in the bottom, add shrimp on top, and garnish with chopped green onions and lettuce or cabbage.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure the oil is hot enough before frying the shrimp for that perfect crunch. Feel free to adjust the sriracha based on your spice preference.
