Delicious and easy baked taquitos filled with a creamy chicken mixture, perfect for meals or snacks.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 10 small flour or corn tortillas
- Olive oil spray or melted butter (for brushing)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for about 30 seconds to make them pliable.
- Spoon about 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Place the taquitos seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Lightly spray or brush the taquitos with olive oil or melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. These can also be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
