Delightful apple biscuits topped with a sweet honey butter glaze, perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup peeled, diced apples
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the milk and diced apples until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Roll out to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into biscuits using a biscuit cutter.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- For the glaze, mix the melted butter with honey and brush over the warm biscuits before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, drizzled with glaze. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
