Description

A fun and creative way to celebrate Independence Day with colorful fireworks in a jar.


Ingredients

  • 1 clear glass jar or plastic sensory bottle with lid
  • Warm water
  • 23 tbsp vegetable oil
  • A few drops of red food coloring
  • A few drops of white food coloring
  • A few drops of blue food coloring
  • Optional: glitter
  • Optional: star-shaped confetti
  • Optional: shimmer powder
  • Optional: Alka-Seltzer tablet


Instructions

  1. Fill the jar or bottle about halfway with warm water.
  2. Add 2–3 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the jar.
  3. Carefully add a few drops of red, white, and blue food coloring, allowing them to create beautiful swirls.
  4. If desired, add glitter, star-shaped confetti, or shimmer powder for extra sparkle.
  5. Optionally, add an Alka-Seltzer tablet for a bubbling effect.
  6. Close the jar tightly and enjoy the mesmerizing fireworks display.

Notes

Store in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. Supervise children while creating their jars.
