Description

A quick and easy homemade bread recipe that doesn’t require yeast, yielding a soft and crusty loaf perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
  3. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients, then pour in the warm water and olive oil.
  4. Stir the mixture with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 1 minute until it becomes smooth.
  6. Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Use a sharp knife to make a few slashes on the top of the loaf for decoration and to help it rise.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Store bread at room temperature in a bread box or an airtight container. For longer storage, slice and freeze in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
